Jumping gets underway at the Pony Europeans

Mark McGowan's superb course provided plenty of entertainment for the crowds - Belgium's Julie De Pelsmaeker and Sambo Lino make it look easy..

The show jumping kicked off in style today with the Individual Qualifiers.
The top spot was taken by Ireland's Bertram Allen aboard eight-year-old bay mare Acapella Z. The pair finished on a time of 78.49 with no faults.
The leaders were followed by Jessica Vinter Jensen of Denmark with Nikolina who went round Mark McGowan's challenging course in a time of 79.60, again with no faults.
Third place went to Ireland's Emma O'Dwyer aboard Kalim De Montlieu who finished on a time of 79.85, with no faults. Just 0.25 of a second behind Vinter Jensen.
Highest placed Britsh competitor is 13-year-old Amy Inglis from West Sussex and nine-year-old gelding Nils D'Hurl Vent, who took fifth with a time of 82.31 and no faults. Fellow Brit Jessica Mendoza (14) and Tixylix went round in 83.47 to take 11th.
13-year-old Emily Roe of Lincoln settled for 33rd on grey gelding Aroldo - the pair ended with five faults and a time of 89.08, while Roe's teammate Lara Whiteway found herself towards the bottom of the leaderboard at 38th with a time of 85.88 and eight faults.
